PIECE OF MIND is a survey of the sensorial details and qualities that are front-of-mind for the women who inspire us.

A place: California, always.
An idea: How do I tune into discomfort and find myself. Do I move away from it, or run towards it? How much discomfort is too much discomfort? I’m trying my hardest to discover the lessons contained in the feeling. It’s so hard, but so worth it.
A color (or palette): I’m drawn to Yves Klein Blue lately. It feels open and spacious and endless.
A sound: the sound our dog, Beba, makes when petting her. We call it the “paper bag sound” and if you’ve ever had an animal that loves to be loved, you will know exactly what I’m talking about. It’s the sound of deep contentment and total safety.
A texture: Clean sheets. Crisp, and filled with possibility.

A taste: I’ve recently rediscovered Yuzu Kusho. And I’m in love again.
A discovery: That I’m so much more flexible than I was twenty years ago. In all ways.
