A brief list of front-burner interests, inspirations, and ideas to consider from the Apiece Apart studio. This week's comes from our Soho Store Team...
01 / TO WEAR
We have been loving this slouchy, cotton-cashmere sweater and the many ways to wear it. It’s one of those garments that looks at once sophisticated, relaxed, and just plain cool, whether slung over your shoulder like a messenger bag or French-tucked into a crisp cotton skirt.
02 / TO WATCH
“Last Days of Disco”
A favorite of Whit Stillman’s movies, which center on (and skewer) New York City yuppies. This one is set in the early 80s, starring Chloe Sevigny and Kate Beckinsdale as underpaid book-publishing assistants by day and overeducated club kids by night. The acting is top notch, the outfits are fantastic...highly recommend a revisiting this one.
03 / TO LISTEN
We’ve got the Dutch-Sudanese singer’s “Morning Blue” on repeat in the store. Shout out to Kenya from our Soho team for introducing us to Gaidaa’s calming and poetic music, which draws on Sudan’s long struggle for democracy.
04 / TO USE
Everyday Oil: Mainstay Blend
We keep it within arm’s reach all year long, but we really douse ourselves in this stuff during the drier autumn and winter seasons. It’s made from a blend of organic plant and essential oils, including palo santo, lavender, geranium and clary sage, so it smells like you've just emerged from the sauna in your cozy cabin in Woodstock.
05 / TO EXPERIENCE
Yoga Today in Jackson, WY
Apiece Apart Woman and team member Grace Dubery is currently in Jackson Hole filming classes for Yoga Today, an online platform where you can pick and choose your practice du jour. Catch Grace in Warrior Pose at the base of the Grand Tetons—definitely the next best thing to her IRL retreats in Portugal.
